This course teaches you how to deploy, manage, and maintain PostgreSQL in High Availability environments. Through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises, students attending this course will learn how to:

* Deploy PostgreSQL on Linux in "Warm standby mode", and tune/optimize PostgreSQL in this mode to maximize performance.
* Deploy PostgreSQL in "Synchronous Warm Standby Mode", providing ACID compliance in a fully-hardware-redundant environment.
* Deploy PostgreSQL using automatic failover/recovery using the Linux HeartBeat v2 Cluster Resource Manager.
* Deploy PostgreSQL using automatic failover/recovery using Userland Common Address Redundancy Protocol (CARP/UCARP).
* Tune HA solutions to maximize performance.
* Deploy Slony-I in a multi-node enterprise environments.
* Perform Slony-I node failovers in a multi-node environment.
* Manage redundant master Slony-I deployments for High Availability with transaction durability.
